How To Live Practically Free On Absolutely Nothing
Saturday, February 23, 1-4 p.m.

Although the workshop has a tongue-in-cheek title, it has the serious purpose of helping those who are unemployed, underpaid, or living on fixed incomes to meet the challenges of living on limited funds and still thrive. Those who are financially comfortable will also find the class very useful. Frugal living doesn't have to mean living a deprived life. It just means learning how to use wisely what God has given us, learning to look to Him with confidence for the faithful provision of our needs and for the wisdom and imagination to do all we can with what God has given us, and to set aside fear during times of financial difficulty. One of the strong features of this class is the mutual sharing of money-saving ideas by the class participants.

Good Friday Service
Friday, March 21, 7 p.m.

We will remember the crucifixion of Christ with a Tennebrae service. In this service, we recall the seven last words of Christ on the cross. The name "Tennebrae" is Latin for "darkness" or "shadows." Through diminishing light in the sanctuary, this worship services helps us recreate the betrayal, abandonment, and suffering of the events surrounding Christ's crucifixion. It is a service left unfinished because the story isn't over until Easter morning.

Easter Breakfast
Sunday, March 23, 9:00 a.m.

The Easter breakfast will include pancakes, eggs, sausage, and fruit. A free-will donation will be taken for the bus fund which covers the cost of providing transportation to the church for the elderly and those who do not have their own transportation.

Easter Festival Worship Service
With Holy Communion
Sunday, March 23, 10:30 a.m.

The Easter festival worship service begins with the singing of Easter hymns and the decorating of the barren, empty cross with flowers in celebration of Christ's resurrection from the dead, as each person goes forward to add a flower to the cross. The church sanctuary, noted for its beautiful, stained glass windows featuring Easter lilies and scenes of the first Easter, along with other religious events, is a wonderful setting to reflect upon and celebrate
the glory of Easter.
